Dear Sparkledots® Family,
We hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying the many blessings and pumpkin-flavored goodies that the Fall season brings. This is actually our favorite season - as the temperatures cool, retail sales begin to heat up - and we know you are just as excited that it has finally arrived!
As the leaves begin to change color they remind us how beautiful it can be to dance in the wind in anticipation of the journey ahead. Here in Connecticut, our kids just went back to school, so as we take in the beauty of the season we are also busy settling into our back to school routines and trying to navigate the never-ending flood of school paperwork. Does it ever end?!
Over the last few weeks, we have been having lots of conversations with our clients as well as our wholesale peers to discuss the upcoming holiday season, and have also been vigorously studying the market trends. (Ok, the last part was really only Ginny since she is our resident econ professor and loves this stuff.) One of things that has become abundantly clear to us is that we’re all in similar situations as we watch to see where the current economic climate is going to settle. With demand cooling and costs continuing to increase at every step along the supply chain, we are all having to decide where to take our risks, where to be aggressive and how we’re going to adapt to the ever-changing economic conditions.
One of the many things you’ve come to know and love about the Sparkledots® Brand family is that you can count on us to always have fresh new inventory. The reality is that like so many of our wholesale peers and even big box stores such as Target, we have found ourselves with an overabundance of inventory. Some of these adorable styles have been in our warehouse for as long as two years - at this point, we trust that you’ve had your fill of those items and would prefer for us to source exciting new products for you to offer your customers. In order to be able to deliver on our commitment of always having fresh inventory for you and your customers, we need to clear our warehouse shelves of our current ready-to-ship stock.
